Our Quality Control System for Outdoor Apparel
From fabric testing to final inspections — we ensure every jacket and pant meets your performance requirements.
Why Quality Control Matters for Outdoor Apparel
Outdoor clothing must perform in real outdoor conditions — wind, rain, and long-term abrasion.
Poor QC can lead to leakage, seam failure, or inconsistent fit, all of which directly affect your customers’ experience and your brand reputation.
A clear and reliable QC system is essential for outdoor brands targeting EU, US, and global markets.

Our Quality Control Framework
A structured QC system ensuring consistent quality from fabric to final inspection.
Fabric Quality Control
We inspect fabric performance, including waterproof rating, breathability, color fastness, and durability before production begins.
Production Process Control
Inline QC monitors stitching, seam construction, measurements, and workmanship to maintain consistency at every sewing stage.
Finished Product QC
Each garment undergoes measurement checks, functional tests, and visual inspections before entering final packing.
AQL System & Final Inspection
AQL-based sampling ensures that major and minor defects stay within acceptable levels for EU, US, and global markets.
Fabric Performance Testing
All outdoor fabrics are tested for waterproofness, breathability, durability, and surface protection according to GB/T and international standards.
Waterproof Testing (Hydrostatic Pressure)
Test method: GB/T 32614-2023, Clause 6.1.19.
Performance level:
Before washing: ≥ 50 kPa (fabric), ≥ 40 kPa (seams)
After washing: ≥ 40 kPa (fabric), ≥ 30 kPa (seams)
Ensures reliable waterproof protection for professional hardshell jackets.
Breathability (Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate)
Test method: GB/T 12704.2-2009, Condition A, Method B.
Performance level:
≥ 4000 g/m²·24h (before & after washing)
Allows moisture vapor to escape efficiently, ensuring comfort during long-distance hiking and high-output activities.
Water-Repellent Surface Test (Spray Rating)
Test method: GB/T 4745, after 3 washing cycles (A-type washing machine, GB/T 8629-2017).
Performance level: Spray rating ≥ 4 (after 3 washes)
Provides durable surface water repellency, ensuring water beads off the fabric even after repeated laundering.
Color Fastness
Test scope: Evaluated for washing, rubbing, and light exposure according to textile colorfastness standards.
Performance purpose: Ensures long-term color stability and prevents fading during outdoor use and repeated washing.
Abrasion Resistance
Test purpose: Fabrics are assessed for resistance to surface wear and friction.
Performance benefit: Ensures durability and maintains fabric integrity during long-term field use and high-contact activities.
Dimensional Stability (Shrinkage)
Test method: Washed and dried according to GB/T textile testing procedures.
Performance purpose: Ensures the fabric maintains stable dimensions after laundering to prevent deformation, twisting, or unwanted shrinkage.
Trims & Components Quality Control
Ensuring durability, functionality, and reliability in every detail.
Zippers (YKK / SBS)
Zippers are inspected for smooth operation, locking strength, and puller durability to ensure long-term reliability.
Elastic Cords & Toggles
Elasticity, rebound, and toggle holding force are tested to prevent failure during outdoor movement.
Velcro Durability
Hook-and-loop fasteners are checked for peeling strength, repeated use performance, and consistent adhesion.
Snap Buttons & Bartacks
Snap buttons are tested for secure fastening, while bartacks are reinforced and inspected for tension strength.
All trims undergo functional, appearance, and durability inspections to ensure consistent quality throughout production.
Production Process Control
Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality at every sewing stage.

Inline QC includes:
- Stitching quality
- Seam sealing (if applicable)
- Thread tension
- Needle size & skipped stitches
- Measurement consistency during sewing
- Panel alignment & matching
Inline QC ensures issues are detected and corrected before moving to the next stage.
AQL Final Inspection
Ensuring every finished garment meets international quality standards before shipment.
We follow a standardized AQL inspection workflow based on AQL 2.5 (Major) / 4.0 (Minor) to ensure consistent product quality.
Sampling (AQL Sample Size Selection)
AQL sample size is selected according to the order quantity and inspection level. Our inspectors pull samples randomly to ensure objective and reliable evaluation.
Appearance Inspection
Each sample is checked for visual defects such as fabric flaws, stains, loose threads, shade differences, and seam irregularities.
Measurement Verification
Garment dimensions are measured against approved tech packs or size charts. We ensure tolerance accuracy for key points of measurement (POM).
Functional Testing
All components and functions are tested, including zippers, snaps, Velcro, drawcords, elastic hems, and seam strength.
Packaging & Carton Check
Final checks ensure correct folding, polybag labeling, barcode accuracy, carton strength, and packing method.
Sampling
Sample size selected per AQL 2.5/4.0; random sampling ensures objective evaluation.
Appearance
Check fabric flaws, stains, loose threads, and seam irregularities.
Measurement
Confirm key POM measurements meet tolerance requirements.
Functional
Test zippers, snaps, Velcro, drawcords, and seam strength.
Packaging
Check folding, labeling, barcodes, and carton strength.
Only products that pass all inspection steps are approved for shipment.
